Ceramics and Architecture

more from CoCA

Mmmm more texture and decoration from the Centre of Ceramic Art in York. I Love this, the composition and the freshness

Mark Hearld – the layering of decoration is lovely, lots of inspiration has informed this decoration.

Cardew – a lovely heron sliding into the border. Two strokes, a few squiggles and it’s done!

A leaping Leach salmon.

A beautiful Caiger-Smith teapot. Ceramic Review have a great article on his work, including a huge collection about to be displayed in a domestic setting at Great Dixter, which I would love to see.

I like the speckle and the texture on this plate. It’s simple but effective, a plate you would use and love every day.
